EDMUND COLLINS

Edmund
graduated from Trinity College Dublin in July 1971. In the autumn
of the same year he went to see racehorse veterinary work at Belmont and
Aqueduct racetracks, and the New Bolton Centre. He came to the Malton
area in February 1972 to work for Norman Chandler and Keith Schubert.
Edmund rode successfully as an amateur jockey, both in England and
Ireland, until deciding to go and work for the Hong Kong Jockey
Club in November 1979. From there he had the opportunity to travel extensively in Australasia. In January 1984 he returned to set up practice at Station House in 1986. Those premises served him well until the move to the present premises in March 2006.
Edmund takes a close interest in the clients' competition and racing results and regards their success partly as a measure of the Practice's performance.
